Tim Pringle was motivated to pursue a career in audiology after seeing first-hand the devastating affect poor communication had on his own uncle. “My passion has always been to help more people hear better through a patient centric approach while championing the role of the modern hearing care expert through awareness and by educating our community on the importance of hearing health.”
Tim started out his career at Hidden Hearing as a hearing aid dispenser in 1997 and practiced in Belfast and North Down. He is currently a registered Hearing Aid Dispenser with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Since 2011, Tim has contributed professional expertise to the partner roles of Visitor, Assessor and Fitness to Practice within the regulatory body of the HCPC.
Over the last 10 years, Tim progressed to the role of Learning and Development Manager, Country Trainer and Chief Audiologist in Northern Ireland. He has been responsible for developing the skills and competencies of our network of clinicians, clinic coordinators and support staff.
When it comes to the current hearing aid technology and the advancements within the industry, Tim believes, “Hearing aid technology has blossomed over the last 20 years from basic amplifiers to minicomputers, from bulky to discreet, fiddly batteries to rechargeable solutions and audiologists have become the modern hearing care expert. We can now connect hearing instruments to other wireless and Bluetooth systems ensuring that patients can enjoy life in a modern society and keep connected with everyone and everything around them. Remote care complements a network of clinics throughout the island of Ireland, so no one misses out on the aftercare, keeping in touch with their hearing health.”
