Loudest Farmyard Animal Revealed

With upwards of 300,000 people expected to visit the Ploughing Championships this year and a lot of machinery and animals on show, a survey which we conducted has revealed that the pig is the loudest animal on the farm.

Hidden Hearing analysed decibel levels of common farm animals as well as farm machinery, with pig squeals the loudest on the farm at 100 decibels. Unsurprisingly the shotgun is the loudest piece of farm machinery/equipment at 140 decibels and poses a severe risk for noise-induced hearing loss when used without the correct protective equipment.

Be sure to wear adequate hearing protection to avoid further damage to your hearing!
